In my school, the spirit week is around the corner! What does your school do for the spirit week?

Ours isn't for a really long time. Like in the spring. :)

Yep, ours is the week after next. We have powderpuff, theme days, eating contests. That basic stuff. It's fun, though - we're having bling-bling day, western day, retro day, etc. and we get to dress up crazy (which is no big shock at my extremely liberal school).

well the only one I'm moderately concerned with is college day, which I personally think is unfair. I'm not exactly going to make a fool of myself for a college that I very likely won't get into. Hah I guess it doesn't matter for the majority of the school, who will don Middle Tennessee State University apparel

ours is next week...

umm..
we just have different dress codes for the days of the week and then a pep rally on friday. homecoming dance is the following monday I believe.
the dress suggestions are the same every year - "college apparel" one day, "new england sports" apparel (ie pats, sox, bruins etc), Western or Hip-Hop, umm..forget the rest...

we have no school spirit. well at least, last year's spirit was HORRIBLE. we have two spirit weeks per school yr (one per semester). the first is more extravagant. each grade decorates a hallway; one day is Founders Day, where we go to an auditorium and have a big performance and listen to alumni lectures (its a half day but i stick around to help with parent teacher confereces that are that day); the other days are stuff like Pajama Day, Jersey Day, Hat Day, etc.. the other spirit week, in the Spring, is only theme days, like Pajama Day etc

Ours is in March. It's called Western Week, mostly because our school is called Western. Everybody is supposed to dress "western" and they have special rodeo/line dancing/cool things like that intramurals.

We have two every school year. And they are INSANE. I guess it's mostly school tradition, but practically EVERYBODY dresses up, and lots of people go way overboard. It sounds kind of lame I guess, but it's actually a really fun week. The entire school gets decorated from top to bottom in streamers, posters, etc, and everybody is just always excited to do it.

It's mostly fueled by class rivalry though - the whole week revolves around Class Color Day, which is absolute pandemonium. Yeah, the more I talk about this, the lamer it sounds, but I swear it's really not.

They're always the week before Homecoming (about a month ago) and the week before Sweetheart (aka, WPA, around Valentine's Day).

we've got homecoming week...it was really early this year -the dance was october 1st! we always have a theme (this year it was vegas) and theme days, where each class dresses up as a different aspect of the themes: Monday-chips representing various values (class color day) Tuesday-Las Vegas people (clubbers, etc) Wednesday-Shows Thursday-Hotels Friday - Red & Black (School colors). The SEC (student council) decorates the school, even staying over night on the Sunday before to get it ready. Not only is it spirit week, it's a giant class competition - there are games during Brunch & Lunch, we have a night rally on Thursday for the Airbands competition (so much fun, everybody gets really into it), and each class builds a float as well! Everything is worth points, and the winning class is announced on Friday at the football game (which we always lose. our football sucks. but the week is really fun, almost everybody dresses up at LEAST once, and the games, ranging from tug-of-war to something in the pool (last year it was a boat race in little blow-up rafts) get everybody cheering for their classmates!). The Seniors almost always win, but it's usually a close competition. This year, the sophomores beat the juniors!! Go '08!!
