What all do you guys do at your schools for activities, themes of the day, etc...?

It's lame at my school because no one's spirited. We have: Hat Day, Tacky Day, School Spirit Day, College Team Day..and yet another that I can't remember in which no one participates.

Do you always have the same days?

Yep. Always the same.

I always push for hippie day but get denied lol.

And I thought we were boring...

We get detentions for wearing hats.

Haha at my school you get ISS. And the assistant principal tells you to find Jesus if it's a yarmulke..if you haven't read this article (I started a thread on it), you should:
http://www.newsobserver.com/102/story/436645.html

Our school goes all out during Spirit Week. It gets really crazy and heated.

Kids in my school wouldn't know what spirit was if it hit them in the face.

Yes, I recall reading that article a week or two ago. Funny...hah. Well not for the kid, but yeah.

I interviewed my school principal about that issue for the school newspaper, and this is one of the brilliant man's direct quotes:

"I think Green Hope's pretty accepting of religious differences..you've got kids who practice Hindu and Asian..and they all get along as far as I can tell.."

I'm so glad he enlightened me. I didn't know Asian was a religion..

Most people get into color day.

This week was/is kind of boring...

Monday: Hawaiian Day
Tuesday: Apron Day
Wednesday: Roll Outta Bed Day
Thursday: Color Day (juniors are big blue!)
Friday: John Hancock Day

Too many ignant ppl out there.

Psh, juniors.

Oooh yeah--we had Blast from the Past Day once. I wore my mom's old letter jacket and jeans. It was fun. Except jeans came to like your ribcage in the '70s.

our school's pretty intense...

we've had hawaiian day, superhero day, purple and gold (school colours) day, sports day, hmm...some other ones. don't remember

Duck Tape/Tin Foil Day was fun...

tako, I heard that the junior class won. Sounded pretty cool. =)

we have no spirit. except for homecoming week. other than that people with spirit for things other than sports are viewed as strange. a real shame.

i find that quite funny.

We already had our pathetic version of Spirit Week, but it was stupid. No one at my school has any spirit.

They have stupid days like cross dress day, things like that.

I think one's perception of Spirit Week changes as one moves up the high school hierarchy.

I used to think Spirit Weeks were retarded and pointless in Freshman year, but now I am (guiltily) thinking that they are pretty fun. Hey, it provides some excitement and change in the dull tedium of school, you know? =p

^ BTW, crossdressing day is fun...too bad our (Christian) school is too conservative to consider that as an option.

I don't even know if we have one anymore lol.
