Spirit Week... w00t w00t!

<p>I felt like sharing today. This week is Spirit Week at my school.
Monday: Wacky Tacky Day
Tues: Pirate Day
Wed: Character Day
Thurs: Crossdress Day
Fri: Blue/Gold Day</p>

<p>This week is AWESOME. My favorite will definitely be tomorrow. I am flippin' serious, guys really do come in skirts. I won't be doing anything tomorrow, partly because I forgot to ask my guy friends to bring me some clothes, partly because I have dignity.
Anybody else have anything like this?</p>

<p>My school doesn't do much for "pride" or "spirit," which is a good thing since we are 400 people on the campus of a university 20,000 or so strong that doesn't particularly like us. I consider such events a ludicrous waste of time at any school, though.</p>

<p>They don't allow cross-dressing at our school... except I have a friend who's in ASB who dressed in a cheerleading uniform for an assembly (:D) so I'm not sure where they REALLY stand. </p>

<p>I never dress up for spirit week. Maybe I did a couple times last year.... I'm really not that much into school spirit. All the rigamarole seems entirely ridiculous to me and I would feel like a fool if I took part. Dressing in wacky clothes is always OK with me, though--it's just that when it's institutionalized, it's no more fun. :rolleyes: :p</p>

Wednesday: Superhero Day (+ power volleyball & powder puff football)
Thursday: Rock N Roll Day
Friday: Spirit Day + Hat Day</p>

<p>i think spirit week and pep rallies are the stupidest things ever. Also dance decorations are a waste of time and money. You spend a lot of time making posters and decorations, then take 'em down and throw 'em away after the event. also, I dont see how they increase school spirit. I dunno, maybe I'm pessimistic cuz our school's football team sucks.</p>

<p>We don't have spirit week, just senior week which I guess is the same as Spirit Week only with just seniors and it's at the end of the year.</p>

<p>Today was our senior pep rally...it was off the chain.....theme was glow in the dark, it pretty much turned into a rave.</p>

<p>Ours are so boring that the only one I remember is western/cowboy day..</p>

Monday - Team Jersey day (everyone does it anyway all football jerseys)
Tuesday - Hawaiian day (handed out leis)
Wednesday - Hat day (even though hats are banned in my school)
Thursday - Don't remember but it may have been twin day
Friday - Black and Gold day</p>

<p>Our school is really bizzare.</p>

<p>We all resent the football program, we don't care about school spirit, and our cheerleaders don't even get excited for games. Naturally we don't have any of that stuff.</p>
