<p>Just saw on Ohio State website that in Fall 2013 Ohio State will offer an undergraduate degree in Sports Industry. I cant find any info on this degree. Does anyone know anything about this degree? </p>

<p>One of my kids plans on pursuing this major. It is not an “official” major until next year so there is not detailed information widely available yet - although if you google it, you can see some of the background of it and the probable curriculum, and advisors in the PAES department can help. </p>
<p>They will have basically broken up what is currently the sports and leisure studies major into two different majors - the sports industry major and the education (certified gym teacher) sports and leisure major. The current sports and leisure is one major with two tracks -education" track and “non-education”. The curriculum as two separate majors will be very similar, just like now, but they will be adding/changing a few courses to make them more relevant.</p>
