Sports agent

What is best to study undergrad to become a sports agent, sports management, marketing, or does it not matter?
Also, is pre law or masters better for after graduation? I've heard advantages and disadvantages for both but it seems that the most successful agents all have law degrees.

It depends on whether you want to go the sports agent path or sports management. Agents, as you said, tend to have law degrees because they largely deal with contracts and essentially advocate clients. If you desiring the business end, go for an accounting or finance degree, build up professional experience, and then seek jobs in the business field. Getting business management jobs straight out of college is extremely difficult unless you have a) connections b) the desire to work as a seasonal sales person for a few years
