My son thinks football student tix are sold out. But friends who recently attended alumni events say they were told all students that want a ticket can get one guaranteed.
Any idea how this works? Are season tix sold out but game by game available?

UMich students get an email before their freshman year with an offer to buy student football tickets ($200 for the season…good deal. I have to pay $100 to go to one game.) If they purchase tickets over the summer, they are guaranteed tickets. If not, it is based on availability after that. UMich did sell 90,000 season tickets this year (students and non-students)! Your son should log into his Wolverine access account and try to purchase a ticket. It will show him what is available to students for either season tickets or by game. Good luck to him. I hope he gets to the games. I flew in to visit my daughter last weekend and we went to the Colorado game. Incredible experience…
There are always student tickets available from other students. Not everyone goes to every game. (He will need to take his Mcard to the game to be admitted at the gate). Alternately, he can buy a ticket from Stubhub a few hours before the game when pricing plummets, or at game time when scalpers take $10-20 for a remaining ticket. Most students just sit wherever they want in the student section regardless of their assigned seat.
