Sports to choose for spring..... good ECs?

I'm a freshman who goes to this crazy school where EVERYONE must be involved in one in-school competetive sport. I'm a freakishly tall girl so people think I'm good at sports, but I really truly suck. So I have to do a spring sport and all. So I'm leaning towards....

women's Soccer
amazing varsity team, but if I don't make varsity I'm stuck with my least favorite teacher for Jv. I took soccer in middle school, I'm pretty bad at it. Crazy amount of commitment, involvement and participation involved. Crazy.

and

women's Golf
Not the best at this sport either, but I can improve over the winter, right? I actually do terrible at putt-putt golf, didn't tell that to anyone yet. Super loose, laid back team that is highly social. I hear it's fun. Less running involved.

However, what would be best application wise? (Okeee, I know society has corrupted me over the years and that I should choose the one I want but...) Is golf considered to be a lazy person's sport? I'm worried that if I switch to that I might look like this evil, preppy person if that's my only sport. (Especially if people convince me to also be a cheerleader and on the dance team) Any advice would be freakishly nice.

You might appear preppy, but I don't think that will sway admissions decisions one way or the other.

If you're as bad at soccer as you say, then your chances of making JV would be too high to risk. It sounds like you would prefer golf, which is a perfectly suitable sport for your applications.

I'd go with golf.

Golf is so much fun! Our golf team is all boys(not requirement, but that's how its always been and the coach isn't really open to new- noninvited- members).

Golf is a sport that will stay with you forever unlike soccer which won't... I vote golf!

You have HS Soccer in spring? I thought spring was Club season--at least in Ohio it is.

Anyway,
What about Track? If you're so tall, why not try High Jump/Long Jump/Pole Vault? It's probably a good medium between the two.

Those sound like good ideas! Thanks for the advice!
