soo have we proved the theory of spring admits only having one event??

sequoia, is it possible to transfer to usc after one semester if you are rejected? I'm meeting with a person from an admission staff in June because I'm considered legacy.

iamcapn: With most legacy students USC will encourage you to transfer and will help you through the process. If your letter invited you to participate in such guidance, and offered an interview, then take advantage. They will advise you on courses, paperwork, timing etc.
However, I do not know if you can transfer after one semester, but I have heard that after one year it's done. The admissions staff at the time of your meeting will better answer your question.

I don't think it's possible after one semester though, otherwise you would have been offered spring.

Depending on how one works out a transfer program with Admissions it is possible to transfer to SC after one semester.

yeah i got spring admit also...
I just don't see the point in going because I'd miss out so much on what is the beginning of the year for everyone else. Plus isn't rush during the fall? And it would be nearly impossible to get any good housing. I forget, are student allowed to live off campus during their first year? And with my major (probs bio) there's no way I could graduate on time. sigh

Don't use that as a deciding factor. S rushed fall sophomore year and he was so glad he waited. Also, many frats do have rush in the spring.

Anyone is allowed to live on or off campus- no rules about that. Many students at USC are getting double majors or additional minors and there are many ways to get an extra load in to finish in four years. You can do it if you really want. Good luck!

So............... How do you appeal being a Spring Admit? It's so bittersweet. I really need Fall for my major!

did anyone who got a spring admit receive their financial package?

^ I don't think anyone has received their financial package yet.

Old article, but a good read.
USATODAY.com - Is a dream college worth waiting for?

A lot of students in my daughter's floor will rush Sophomore year.

So, do I just change my major to engineering as soon as I get there?

heyy everyone i just got in to USC for Spring @ Marshall! i think i really lucked out
