Spring 2012 Course Catalog released!

Hi everyone,

UF has released the Spring 2012 Course Catalog! GatorSchedule has been updated to include it in the database so you can search through it!

GatorSchedule.Net: GatorSchedule.Net .:. Course Search

Happy searching!

Your site is great! It helps you find classes that fit your requirements so much better than the SOC on UF.edu.

Thanks!

Thanks for the compliment!

Please provide feedback so I can improve the site going forward!

One thing that would be very helpful is if you could narrow down the levels of classes. For examples you can say at least 3000, but then you get all the 5000 and 6000 level graduate classes. Would be nice to say between from 3000 to 4000 or check 3xxx level, 4xxx level, etc.

Thanks!

Hey tzais01,

I’m working on it… should be implemented soon.

I like the site.Seems just as accurate as the UF SoC site and easier to use. I’m not sure how difficult it would be but I would like to see a link to myedu or RatemyProfessor of the class.

Hi Bobbo - RateMyProfessor has it’s own unique identifier and I can’t easily link UF professors to their database of professors. I’ve reached out to them asking if there could be a way to do it.

Great job on the site!
I hope my suggestion doesn’t sound stupid…
Okay, so sometimes when making a semester schedule, you have a weird amount of credits (11 credits when you need 12; 13 or 14 credits and you want 15) and you want to meet some type of credit goal. And when you input “Credits: Exactly 1”, it lists every duplicate 1 credit course when you’re just interested in the course title and not all the days/times/etc… Sorry if there’s already a way to do it (I don’t see how) or if this suggestion seems pointless (it also seems it would be hard to do), but can there be like a check box that says “don’t show duplicate courses”? I hope this makes sense.
Thanks!

Hi Tony,

Sorry for the late reply - you’re basically asking for all the course matches for x number of credits?

Right now, GatorSchedule is set up to show you the sections of each course, which is why there is usually a large number of duplicates. I could probably add in a “Course Only” feature.

I’ve got a couple other requests I’m also working on - I’ll devote some time to get these ironed out.

Thanks,
Murali

I noticed when you look up classes on the UF website it is possible to search across all abbreviations for the same subject at once. On your site it lists the exact abbreviations and you can search within these smaller groups but it does not allow a search by the broader category. For example when searching for Economics electives 3000 level or above I would have to search ECO ECS and ECP on your site. It would be better to have both options in the same place.
