<p>Sorry, I meant to type that the Friday evening exams in the spring semester will be discontinued as of the Spring 2014 semester. There was talk of doing the same for the Spring 2013 semester, but instead students will have to request reaccommodation in another time slot. UA already had multiple time slots with no exams scheduled, so this will be a relatively easy change for them to make.</p>

<p>Oh dear, now I am thinking of putting into my calendar to book a room for May, 2016!!! I don’t want to forget the year before!! Yikes. The Country Inn is nice, we stayed there. Suits our needs as we don’t spend much time there.</p>

<p>FTR: My DD2’s bestie LOOOOVES bacon. Her mom is even going to make her a “bacon taco” one morning for breakfast. </p>

<p>just kidding. May 2015, we’re going to graduation and then to Disney World!!! All new grads and alum welcome to meet us there ;)</p>

<p>Hey guys…so since this now child #4 graduating from college May 2014 I have mastered the learning curve and have booked a bank of hotel rooms a year early!!! Yay!! We LOVE the Country Inn and Suites but when I went to book they only had 1 non-smoking room. we stayed at the Wingate back when DD first visited Alabama in fall 2009…it was almost brand new! I called them on a whim as we need a few rooms with double beds…they gave a me discount to $112 plus tax because I am a parent and we had stayed before! He told me that room for graduation 2013 are currently going for close to $250!!! So thought I would pass on the news. We always felt the Wingate was not “close” to campus but hey with Country Inn and Suites coming at $149…an the lack of non-smoking rooms…I’ll take a bit of a drive and the $112!!! Now to book a place for the dinner and celebration. I can’t believe we are doing this so soon.</p>

<p>Oh and FYI…while driving from our beach home in North Carolina back to KC , DS (who was about 13 at the time as well) penned a song called “I wanna go home to my bacon son”…he too is a huge bacon fan. For bacon fans…Loveless Cafe in Nashville has some great bacon gift packs. I sent them this year to my soon to DD’s soon to be future in-laws (mother and father and sisters and brothers). They are huge Loveless fans and were thrilled!

<p>Reading this thread, I am starting to feel a little weepy. It will be bittersweet when your kids graduate. I’ve learned so much from you all. I know, we have some awesome new parents who have joined and soon enough the Class of 2016 will graduate (my son with them, Lord willing). It all goes by so quickly…</p>

<p>Yes, I’ve booked roooms all the way thru May 2014. Did so months ago. It’s crazy but I know we get great rates and top picks of rooms by doing so.</p>

<p>Wow…May 2017…But he hasn’t even graduated HS yet, or attended the Prom and I’m planning on booking his graduation from UA hotel. Lol</p>
