Spring 2017: Transfer Application

So anyone here going to Hunter in the spring received any appointment for advisement?

@ilovegreys123 I haven’t received any response from City College yet.

I was accepted to city as a transfer for fall 2016, I deferred through the my city page for spring 2017. All I’ve received is an email with a survey basically asking me if I’d like to reactivate my admission for the spring. This was like early November. I’m still waiting on additional info… Anyone else still waiting?

@jle7201 after setting up my myhunter account and completing all the required sections I was confused as to what the next step was. I called advisement to try and make an appt but they said to wait for an email with my assigned advisor. I didnt get an email but when I checked my myhunter page I was assigned an advisor and allowed to schedule an appointmet. So check yours, if you did all the sections you should have an advisor by now. The closest open date for mine was all the way on Dec. 12th so I’d do it asap.

@lowe22 . Yea I figured it out last week after I posted my question here. I had a appointment date for Dec 11 but I emailed my advisor if she has any other earlier open dates for advising and she gave me a earlier one.

I meant December 13*

@crimbot so what was advisement like?

@Bcs313 pretty quick. After being advised, I was sent to the library to register for the courses. Now i just have to wait till the end of this semester and give them my final transcript with my grades from this semester. Besides that, I’m all set for Brooklyn College :slight_smile:

@annalee97 Congrats! I received it too!

@ilovegreys123 @nomathsgiven I am an international student and I applied to City College too! Call the admissions of city college ASAP (not cuny hotline). Here is the number 212.650.6977. I did not hear back from them before I called!

By the way. So I have this account called MyCity… Am I supposed to have a CUNY first too if I am going to city college? It seems like all stuff is in MyCity for me…

@slavon Yes you are suppose to have both. I am a current student at city college.

Your MyCity email account is where you’ll get information from the school sent to you, emails from professors, etc.

Your CunyFirst account is where you will register for classes, pay your bill, view your grades, etc

@Trippy4unicorns You will need to reactivate your application. I think you will have to fill out a form in the admissions office and they will re-process your application.

You should contact the admissions office for more info.

I’m international student and applied for bmcc spring 2017 as a transfer student.
But, how can i know that i accepted or not?!?!
I didnt get any mail and letter.

@crimbot Where you able to get the classes you wanted?

@Bcs313 Yep.

@crimbot That’s good, hopefully the classes I need will still have some good slots. What are you taking?

Does anyone know if I have to submit an updated transcript to Hunter when the semester is over? I am currently taking classes at City College and transferring to Hunter in the spring. Thanks

@jle7201 Hunter has access to all CUNY colleges transcript. You just need to ask the admissions office to pull up an updated transcript from City College.

@queens12 . Okay, but do you think CUNY’s admissions office would still be opened during the winter break? The break from December 21 to January 29?

@jle7201
