How far ahead should we make hotel reservations for Spring 2018 graduation?
I see on the academic calendar that commencement is on May 4th-5th 2018. When should we expect to know which day and time our DD will graduate?
Also, any suggestions on hotels?

One year. To the day. Any earlier, they won’t be open yet. Any later, and you’ll miss out.
As for which day you should plan for, book the entire weekend. You can always cancel part of the reservation later if you need to.
The commencement of different colleges kind of rotates through three different times: Fri night, Sat morning, and Sat afternoon. Aeromom, for Spring 2018, when do you think Engineering will be held?
@kjcphmom I have no clue, because I just noticed that CofE is now NO LONGER graduating with commerce/business as it usually had been in prior Springs (see links below).
Eng’g has instead been placed with education and nursing for May 2017. Maybe it is now just too big, might be the reason…
Soooo, just call and ask is the best advice I can give.
IF I had to guess, tho, it might possibly be the evening of the first day (i.e., Fri) in 2018. JUST A GUESS - call UA to get the real scoop.

Some hotels (the County Inn and Suites, for example) were already accepting reservations for May 2018 at least a month ago.
