A friend that got admitted in spring and is not doing FPF has CalSO tomorrow. Do they get to do telebears before FPF, which does it next week?

Spring admit CalSo is next week.

No, actually it is tomorrow…the 29th

yes, I know, unfair >:K

If you’re in FPF, you’ve already gotten a feel for the Berkeley campus and probably have some core requirements out of the way. The same advantage does not apply for Spring admits without FPF.

It therefore makes good sense that Spring admits should get earlier telebears than FPF. Perfectly fair in my book.

Actually, the only requirements we can really get are math and R&C, which can be done at a community college…without FPF (apart from that, we get like 20 breadth to choose from).

Yes, we do have a feel for the campus - so I’ll give you that one, but I don’t see how having an earlier telebears has anything to do with that. No matter what classes they get, they are going to be on campus, taking Berkeley courses. I also want to note that the courses we take are, well, easy, compared to the classes needed for engineering, or haas or something (no weeders/anything with a brutal curve), so it’s not like we have some insane advantage or anything.

Anyway, I guess I’m just bitter about how we do the same things as the regular freshmen (and pay practically the same), but come in as new students. More than the core classes, it’s the easier/fun breaths that are getting filled up quickly. I would understand if it was only core that they got to choose from (since they have a higher chance of being behind).

My mistake-- spring ~transfer~ CalSo is next week. I’m flying in from SoCal for it, so your post caught me off guard. It was my bad, though. (;

Spring admits that aren’t in FPF don’t actually get to register during orientation. =/

TeleBEARS does not differentiate FPF from regular spring admits, at least that is how it was when I was in FPF years back.

Spring admits got their adviser codes today, and their Telebears is on November 3rd. My Telebears is the same day, but I get my adviser code on November 4th.

Spring admits will get their adviser code when they log in on Nov 3 though that is 1 day earlier than FPF. I thought I was going to get it during the orientation. :(

Yeah… I like how FPF lets me be on campus early, but I feel shafted, slightly at least. I’m really scared about how much spaces will be left after the slew of spring admits do it before me.
