I am wondering if anyone else is considering going to pepperdine as a freshman for spring 2012. I am hoping to get in for the fall but not counting on it. I am also a little worried about the social scene. I really want to go to a fun school where there are parties at least on the weekends. I have read that students have to go off campus to party which I guess would be okay...
Also, can you rush if you are starting in the spring semester?

@rayray1: If I remember correctly there are spring rushes though the applicant pool is much smaller and the process is sped up. If Pepperdine is truly your dream school I would recommend accepting the spring defer, though transferring mid-semester is a bit chaotic and hard since the flow of the school year is already in mid-swing. If you’re looking for social events it’s a good thing you’re checking out the Greek life. As I said before in another post, Greek life at Pepperdine is not the quintessential party scene that other schools give off with their Greek system. There are/will be parties and you will meet a variety of people through the school and whatever Greek organization you choose to join. If you have any questions about transferring in the spring feel free to ask, I came in during the spring semester too so I know how it feels. Good luck!

@ ejcmalibu. I actually got a call yesterday that i was accepted for the fall semester. Thanks for your help though!

yay! congratulations!

rayray1, had you been on the waitlist?

@socal2016 sorry i am so late responding! i wasn’t on the waitlist, just spring defer.
