The housing website says that the dorms open on Jan. 4th, and move in is the 4th (correct)?
Can I check in/move in on the 5th? Or does it have to be on the 4th?

THANKS! :D
Oh, and hope you all had a good Holiday!

Yes. But it pays to be early.

How so?
…

(adding more characters)… haha

Think about all the procrastinators! If you go on the 5th, you’re going to have to worry about orientation. You’ll basically have to drop all your stuff and go to orientation all day, leaving it to your roommates mercy, your roommate who could be a total untrustworthy nightmare, and well…it’s just not such a good idea.

I’ve already been to orientation. We’ll see.

Oh, well I guess i’ll be the only one going to Ori on the 5th. Late acceptances are lame!!!

You can move in on the 5th. Its not like its going to be a fall semester move in. You wont be rushed but if you wanna like get there before ur roommate gets there and maybe move her stuff around a lil to suit your needs, go early. If you dont mind, go for whenever is more convenient for you.

Yeah, I’m trying to get there before my room mate.

You can check in any day at any hour after the dorms open. You can check in 24 hours a day. And don’t assume you are moving in to an empty room. Sometimes spring admits move into a room with a roommate that was there from fall.

Yeah, I didn’t thank about that.

I doubt anyone moves back in Spring early unless it’s your first semester so you should be safe to move in on the first day.
