For those of you about to register for classes for the Spring, what are your registration dates?
I'm a Junior, but apparently I register November 6(Friday) which is 4 days after the first day of Registration!

How is registration prioritized, by credit hours?

I’m a freshman - 11/18

i think i am on 11/9

some people say its possible to pick up any class during first week of classes, but I tried that this fall and was impossible to get into tech writing…hope that isn’t a problem this spring

I’m a sophomore and my registration date is 11/12 ugh.

I was wondering this too. So, do they figure your AP credit into your registration times? D’s a freshman (she has, however, 45 hours AP credit already). Her registration time is 11/13.

zebes

I also have 45 credits and an 11/13 registration date.

I hope I can get into all of the classes I want (most of them have only 2-3 sections). It would really suck if I couldn’t because I’m not willing to take more gen ed classes.

When I was at preview, I couldn’t register for most of the classes I wanted because they were full (for both summer and fall). I just kept checking throughout the summer and was able to change 4 of my 7 classes to the ones that I wanted (the other 3 were ones I had already wanted).

My senior daughter registers on November 5th.

D is a freshman and she registers 11/18.

yea must be by class rank, i am junior so its much much sooner than freshmen but not as soon as senior.

Yes, it’s by the amount of credits one has and the year you’re in.
I believe incoming freshman are only allowed to transfer 30 AP credits Max.

Actually, her advisor that she just met with says that she can use 45 credits. But … I’m still going to happily strangle her. What’s the point of having the barest minimum of priority registration through the honors program when you don’t even bother to read the email which tells you when the dates for doing that registration are!! Aaargh! She could have had two classes scheduled by today, but she’s, “yeah, I think something’s going on, but I’m not sure.” So, we got her into the Honors phy2061 class, but the honors diffyQ section is already closed, and that’s the one she wanted the most. Too easy with high school scheduling, always getting first choice on things, makes her not see how crazy this will be … lol. And, don’t even get me started on her bro’ who’s needed to talk to an advisor for months. Geesh! Rant over!
