Spring Schedules

Freshman Year:

Foundations of Psychology(honors)

Integrated Anatomy and Physiology 1

Integrated A&P Lab

Human Services Professions

Intermediate Spanish II

I’m looking forward to this upcoming semester! Should be fun

I’m a freshman and I’m kind of nervous that this class load might be too much to handle for me.

Current class load:

Eng 121 - 3cr
Bio 111 w/lab - 5cr
His 201 - 3cr
Mat 121 - 4 cr
Eco 201 Macroeconomics - 3cr

Second semester Junior, Biochemistry major:

CHEM 299A: Forensic Science (3 cr)
CHEM 322: Instrumental Analysis + Lab (4 cr)
CHEM 329: Biochemistry II + Lab (4 cr)
CHEM 436: Advanced Protein Chemistry (3 cr)
RECR 331: Medical Terminology (3 cr)
LFA 135: Fencing (1 cr)

Total = 18 credits

I’ll be honest, it looks like Fencing will be quite the challenge.

I’m too lazy to type out the course numbers at the moment:

Junior Animal Sci/Pre-vet major

Biochemistry (the most basic course they have)

Applied Animal Nutrition w/ lab

Microbiology w/ lab

Human Sexual Behavior

Beef Cattle Techniques w/ lab

15 credit hours and a BEAUTIFUL schedule with lots of free time!

Graphic Novel
Shakespeare I
Books and Book Publishing
Mathematical Economics

And I’m waiting on another ECON course because I waited like a d-ass to pick classes since I thought I was done with ECON.

I really don’t understand how you guys can take so many courses in one semester! I mean even my school has a limit of 19 credits/semester.

I’m taking 18 and my schedule is like extremely packed.
Second Semester Freshman:
CHN 102: Beginning Mandarin (4cr)
THEA 323: Film/TV Acting (3)
COMG 151A: Personal and Public Speech (3)
COM 201: Introduction to Communications (3)
JOUR 150: The Media and Society (3)
CHEM 161L: General Chemistry Lab (1)

I wish I could’ve fit in a singing or dance class… or at least Yoga. :P

Mine changed a little:

Social Statistics Lab 8:30-9:20 M/W
Social Psychology 12:30-1:45 M/W
Criminology 2:00-3:15 T/TH
Social Statistics 9:30-10:45 W/Online
Geology of Planet Earth Online

Still 13 credits

physics III, astrophysics, statics, math stats, art history. hopefully not too bad

First year of 3 / senior… (lol it gets annoying when people ask me what year or start guessing)

Introductory Circuit Analysis (3)
Introduction to Logic Design (4)
Introduction to Engineering (1)
Chemistry for Engineers (4)
General Physics: Electricity/Magnetism, Modern (4)
Computational Methods and Applications? (3)

Last science courses, first engineering courses! If I take that last course I’ll be internship eligible when I’m done, but the time it is offered isn’t nice. CIRCUITS <3

JPN 5: Intermediate Japanese
JPN 25: Japanese Language & Culture
JPN 102: Japanese Literature in Translation: The Middle Period
HIS 194A: Feudal Japan

@whenhen:
W+F? I’ve never heard of a school offering Calc IV and Differential Equations. What’s the difference?

@Hatsukoi:
Are we taking that many? Your 18 credit hours seems fairly typical, if not above average, here.

PMI 126: Immunology
PMI 126L: Immunology lab
NPB 121: Reproductive Physiology
NPB 121L: Reproductive Physiology Lab
ANS 104: Domestic Animal Behavior

(this is for winter quarter, btw)

Emberjed, my school splits up calculus into four semesters for STEM majors who are weakest in math. Calc IV covers things like triple integrals, Stoke’s Theorem, Residue Theorem, etc. Differential equations is just what most schools call Ordinary Differential Equations. I don’t know what it covers, I just know I have to take it. Hey we’re ABET accredited so the classes must be at least a little different.

Junior:

PHYS 135B - Physics II
GERO 440: Biodemography of Aging
SPAN 413: Social and Geographic Varieties of Spanish
MEDS 300: Statistical Methods for Biomedical Research
MDA 110: Contemporary Issues and Cases in Health Care

I just finished a really tough semester for me (organic chem, genetics, a tough writing course) so this next one shapes up to be pretty relaxing.

Not for spring, but for winter quarter (sophomore, double major in CS and linguistics):

ECS 20-Discrete Math for Computer Science
MAT 67-Modern Linear Algebra
LIN 177-Computational Linguistics
CHE 2A-General Chemistry

Basically, a bunch of CS lower div requirements and one upper div linguistics elective that corresponds to the field I’m interested in.

Apparently some of the classes I wanted filled in pretty quick so I had to drastically change my schedule.

old schedule:

New Freshman Semester 2:
CHN 102: Beg Mandarin
GER 101: Beg German
HON 291B: Sophomore honors seminar on Cosmology
COM 201: Intro to Communications
LING 150B: Language in Hawaiian/Pacific/Asian Cultures

Basically all prerequisites still except for COM 201 (for major). Planning to study abroad in Germany anyways so might as well start early for the language to attain fluency. I’m actually very into the language atm… I might even considering double majoring. If I can also pursue my minor in Theatre (I’m probably giving up the idea for a minor in Dance, haha).

LI210 American Women Writers
WR211 Intro. to Creative Writing: Fiction
PH210 Narrative Ethics
WR121 Research Writing

16 credits
