Spring semester / washington mentorship admits

Anyone else considering this? Anyone know students who have done it in the past?

I'm considering but I don't know anyone that's done it. I believe this is only the 4th year they've had this program so it would be kinda hard to find anyone that's done it.
Regardless of the fact that you aren't technically matriculated until Spring, if AU is where you wanna go I think this program is great. You earn take a basic level writing seminar, an elective, and a "practicum" where you get to travel all around DC to learn, AND you earn 15 credits for it. It seems like a great opportunity to me. The only downfalls in my opinion are having to live on the Tenley Campus, which I imagine really isn't that big of a deal and the fact that there is NO financial aid. I got $15k for the second semester which is awesome but its gonna hurt that there is no money for that first semester.
What are your thoughts on it DVMMOM?

Anyone else thinking about this?

I am seriously considering this option. Alternatively, I am considering taking classes at a nearby school for up to 12 credits for the fall semester and then going to AU in January. I can't afford to pay for a full semester there, but I was given 10K for the spring. I was initially very upset by this whole thing, but after 1 rejection and 3 (A WHOPPING 3 waitlists), I am considering all options.

We just visited AU. We didn't tour Tenley but did do a drive by. It is very convienient to the Metro, much more than American, and a shuttle runs between the two campuses. They are about a half mile apart. Suggest finding out what impact spring matriculation will have on sequential courses like foreign languages. What will your spring semester look like?
