I am currently a first year student at Boston College but I would like to transfer to Ohio State this Spring for personal reasons. I was wondering what my chances of doing so would be?
I was accepted into Ohio State’s Fisher College of Business last year as a senior in a high school (and was offered the Maximus Scholarship for my test scores and GPA), but I chose to come to BC instead. Below are some of my high school credentials (since Ohio State will have to base a majority of their decision on them as I am only in my first semester of college):
-High School GPA: 4.0 UW, 4.5 W
-Class Rank: 1 (Valedictorian)
-AP Classes: 8
-ACT: 30 (E 34, R 30, M 30, S 26)
-SAT: 1460 (M 800, CR 660)
-Service Hours: 800+
-Extra-Curriculars: National Honor Society (Secretary), Key Club (President), Big Brothers Big Sisters (President), Drama, Vocal Ensemble, among others
At BC, I am taking 5 classes (2 of which are Calculus I and Micro-Economics, which are core classes for business students at Ohio State). I would also like to mention that I am an Ohio resident.
They received all of the materials for my transfer application on September 24 (roughly three weeks ago) but I haven’t received a decision yet. How are my chances looking? Is there anything I should be warned about?
Thanks in advance!
