Spring transfers...

Hi, I'm planning on applying for Spring 2006 and I was wondering when I could expect to hear from Fordham (whether I've been accepted or rejected) if I send in my application this September (for the Lincoln Center campus). And IF I somehow get on-campus housing (I know it's limited), would I be notified upon my acceptance...?

I'm from California, so I hope I'm notified well ahead of time considering the stress of moving...

Wow are we the same person? I am applying as a transfer for Spring 2006 (Lincoln Center campus as well) and I am also from California.

Some answers I hope will help you.... in terms of housing, I had an interview on Aug 11, 2005 (last Thursday) at the Lincoln Center Campus, and now I am back in California, the admissions officer told me that housing for transfers (esp at lincoln center) is close to none, but because we are from California, we would have a better chance. And during Spring a lot of students go off and study abroad, which she says makes getting housing during the spring a lot easier than transfers would during Fall.

Anyways, I hope that helps. What are your stats? Are you an incoming freshman?

Here are my stats... (high school of course... I just graduated June 2005)... but I didn't hear of Fordham until now, and now I want to transfer for Spring '06 like you.

Haha, noooo, I'm definitely not the same person. I'm (unfortunately) from Northern California and thanks for the info on LC transfers! I graduated in 2004, so I guess I am an incoming freshman (since I don't have enough credits at my JC yet to transfer in as a junior). I went to three different high schools, but here (more or less) are my stats:

GPA: Somewhere in between a 3.7 and 4.0 (not entirely sure, sadly...)

Ummm yeah, not that impressive, but at least I got almost all straight As, right? All the high schools I went to had poor class choices and my love for languages caused many schedule conflicts, so that's why I only have one AP class. I skipped a year of French (it was my first language, lol), but I don't know if Fordham will recognize that and I speak Castilian too (will they care?).

Wait, so you've gone for your interview already? Have you been accepted? I'm 100% sure you will be. I better hurry and schedule my interview (mid-October at the latest)! I'm sending in my application within two weeks and I've already sent in my FAFSA stuff. I'm not so sure about CSS stuff though... do we even have that in California? I've never heard the term before, but it's required for financial aid. AHHHH, I'm worried about my interview! Any advice? How long was yours?

Keep in touch!
