So I was placed into Sproul but I know absolutely nothing about it so I was hoping someone could help me out. Mainly, is it mostly an upperclassmen dorm because I haven't heard of any other freshman being placed there. Also, is it like Rieber where there's a changing area within the shower stall? And it isn't in the housing thread so please don't tell me to check there! Any help is appreciated!

I briefly stayed at Sproul Hall during summer sessions last year, and yes, there was a small changing area within the shower stall. It was a small area with a bench right before the actual shower and shower curtain.

I wouldn’t know about the people that dorm there during the regular school year, however.

I would not worry about Sproul. It’s a lively place, and should have a fair number of freshmen. It’s also in a good location.

Many transfers were placed into Sproul this year.

I lived in Sproul Hall this last year and will be living there this year. The biggest upsides to Sproul is that it is close to campus, you don’t have to walk up a lot of stairs, and it is the closest in proximity to all of the dining halls/restaurants. As far as freshman/upperclassman ratio, it is probably around 50/50. I lived on 2 North and I met plenty of freshmen. It’s was also nice to have some upperclassmen for seeking advice. I noticed a lot of athletes lived in Sproul. Additionally, it seemed as though the rooms in Sproul were slightly larger than those in Hedrick or Reiber Hall. This year they are opening up a new complex and dining hall next to Sproul so that will be nice. The only downside is that there isn’t a rec room in Sproul. If you have any other questions feel free to ask.
