Hello,This is my first post. I was wondering which school is better as I have an important decision to make after being accepted at both of these prestigious schools. Just wondering if you all could help me make a good decision in choosing.

visit and i think you'll be able to tell which one is for you.

SPS :)
i just like sps better than exeter.... ihad a better vibe at sps

Have you visited either school? If not, then try to attend the revisit days. During revisits you will meet many students and families facing similiar choices who will be a great source of information. You can't really make a wrong choice. One small aspect to consider is that St. Paul's School does not offer a summer session open to anybody but New Hampshire public high school juniors, whereas Exeter offers a fabulous open summer school program. If you cannot afford to visit, then try to share more info. about your interests & what you think that boarding school will be like. What prompted you to apply to each school? Be honest as your impressions, whether right or wrong, are all that matters in order to receive reasonable & experienced advice from others.

I can't visit because I live in California and my family can't afford to go to the East Coast.

big school vs. smaller school
more formal dress code vs. more casual dress code
all meals cafeteria style vs. some seated meals weekly
mix of day/boarding vs. all boarding
more densely concentrated, 'academy' style campus vs. more open campus with plenty of acreage

both are wonderful schools providing wonderful educations but very different
the first one desecribes exeter, the second sps
which sounds more appealing to you?

any specific questions you have? do you have specific interest e.g. sports, the arts, certain subjects?
are you getting FA? if so, the schools may assist you financially in attending revisits

Exeter sometimes pays for you to visit (just you fly in, not your parents,)and stay over in the dorms during experience Exeter- its rare, but it happens (ask) especially if your on full aid.

tsertash2011- I go to St. Paul's and would be happy to answer any questions you have.

same here, except i go to exeter
