hey has anybody heard back yet?
bump
still nothing from them :-?
I also applied, and I haven’t heard anything back. They say April 1st, so I don’t know what’s taking them so long.
@Integral69420 ok thanks for letting me kno, decisions should be coming by email sometime this week
mail*
STILL NOTHING!!! THEY ARE TAKING FOREVER
I called. The coordinator of the program said they had over 200 applications, and they still have 50 more to review. She said they hope to get out interview notifications next week some time - probably by phone or Skype. Hope this helps.
@carlson2 yes thank you very much.
I received a rejection letter a week or two ago, so you all are probably still under consideration. Good luck!
they now say they’ll let us know by April 13th.
Thanks for the update - will let my D know.
still haven’t hear back yet, and haven’t heard back today
will be hearing back tomorrow for sure cause tomorrow’s the deadline
has anybody heard back? and good luck to those who have yet to hear back
Has anyone received anything in the mail today? Nothing for me yet
@joshuakim11 nothing for me, maybe give it a day?
Nothing for me either. It irritates me that they post dates that they will notify applicants and they don’t adhere to them.
on a thread that I made, someone said that they called and the mail was sent out yesterday. apparently only 24 students got chosen out of 200 . Everyone should get their mail in about a week.
Makes sense that SRAP is so competitive. It’s a real research program, not simply a line to name drop on your college app. Plus, you get paid. If anyone should be cut some slack at this busy time of year, it’s SRAP. SRAP is the gem of summer programs, in my opinion.
Compare it to the hilarious $ money spend of YYGS or Launch – which seem to me like obvious attempts to get the words ‘Yale’ or ‘MIT’ on your app. I would actually be embarrassed to confess on my college app that I paid $5500 for a two week program at Yale. Seems totally transparent to me.
It’s surprising that SRAP doesn’t get more attention here, but on the other hand they had a record number of applicants this year. Guess the word is getting out
