If I end up getting a single room in an all girls dorm (my 3rd/last choice, since I was so adamant on getting a single), I was wondering if guys can hang out in whatever the all female dorm is. All of my friends are guys so that would pose a problem if they weren't allowed into the female dorm.

Or should I go change my 3rd choice to a double in a male/female dorm?

Or will that knock me down to the bottom of the pile? Or do they go from the date first applied, so it wouldn't matter if I change it? Or does time applied not matter (aka it's random)?

May 31 is the deadline for housing. Oy vey!

I don’t like the way you spell “hi”…lol, just kidding. But seriously, I don’t know the answer to any of your questions. I’m just bumping your post.

You could always hedge your bets by putting down two votes for a Single and one for a coed room!

btw: I’m guessing, and its ONLY a guess, is that three votes for a Single won’t be viewed any stronger than one vote, but it depends on how the computer matching is programmed. It’s probably too late, but call Housing and ask.

hey,
well i lived on a grouped co-ed floor my freshmen year but i am 100% certain that you are allowed to go to the guys hall / guys are allowed to come to your hall. its not like there are curfew rules or the door must be open when guys are there rules or anything like that. the boys from the other side of the hall were always hanging out on our side. haha.

There’ll be a lot of guys in an all-girls dorm. After all, it’s an all-girls dorm :)

But seriously, around half the girls in the all girls dorms are like “oh thank goodness there are no guys here” and the other half is like “*** how did I end up here there are no guys here!!!”

Guys are allowed to visit, etc… and shouldn’t really pose an issue.
