Well guys, I’ve just received an email saying that my ALO would like to interview me sometime between the 29th and feb 1st!! My heart went insane with excitement as I read it!! Best of luck to all! Hopefully I’ll get in but I dont want to get to excited, but its so hard not to!

Good luck!

Wow, that's a good sign

I had an interview yesterday.

What did they ask you?

I'm guessing that not being asked to have an interview is a bad sign?

not necessarily

MY ALO told me that if your scores and such were high enough, that they would not do an interview. At least not an in depth, one, but probably a shorter more informal one.

He said that they use the interview and the recommendation from the ALO in the addmissions process as part of your overall score.

my interview is Monday

My interview was about 25 minutes on the phone (I met my ALO officer a year ago so he already knows me, and I will see him again this March at school). He asked me about times in my life when there was no leader present and I had to step up, so I talked about Cross Country, Folk Group, and CAP.

CWJones,

Are you worried, hahaha? I am a little bit; I thought I would've received an email but who knows. It's very frustrating to see that your stats are better than others, but you still don't get in. Oh well, congrats everyone!

Hahaha, yeah I'm a bit worried now. Everyone, it seems, is hearing some kind of notification already. What did you put for for the vision question? One of my eye's is pilot qualified but the other is navigator qualified so I put "no."

Pilot qualified.

20/10 in my right, 20/15 in my left. At least that's what my AME told me when I went to get a Class 1.

I just don't think I was specific enough; I was very general. For example, instead of putting "3 years of track and football", I just put "track and football": I didn't list how long I've done things.

Ugh, I just want to get rejected already

Yeah I'm a little bit nervous too because I don't feel I was specific enough on my community service because I volunteer for Campus Life (I don't know if you guys know what that is or not) and work with middle school students and I have probably logged close to 350 Hours volunteering...darn...that probably would've looked better than just listing it :(

I didn't give any number for community service. I've been in the Scouts since I was 5 so I would have no way of calculating a number.

YES! Mine finally came via email last night but I didn't receive it until tonight. The reason it took forever was because my ALO has been out of town on business. He's going to call me tonight and we're going to schedule an appointment. He wants me to make up a list of everything I've ever done that is important.

Anyone get accepted yet? I'm hoping to have my interview tomorrow and hopefully get in by the weekend!

I guess I'm the only one who didn't?

If you have an interview, are you pretty much guaranteed to get in, as long as you don't say something stupid?

I haven't gotten anything yet either CWJones so I don't know...
