SSAT issue

So I have recently come up with a problem. My parents are dragging me on their vacation and we won't be back until January 11th. I have looked and looked and January 10th is the only SSAT date. Is there anything I can do???

The SSAT is administered at a lot of different locations - perhaps you can find a place where you will be.

<a href=“Find a test center throughout the world - SSAT”>http://www.ssat.org/test-center-search

How does one learn whether a school will accept Jan SSAT test scores without calling the individual schools? Is it a safe bet that they all will?

FYI, most boarding schools take a very dim view on this. Should you be accepted to one, your parents will need to plan their vacations around your school breaks.

Yes I know. So is there anything I can do. There aren’t any other dates besides February 7. Will schools accept a late admissions?

Sign up to take the Flex test (one flex test allowed per test-year). It costs more, but the test date is flexible:

Note that SSAT is not guaranteeing that the January 10 test date will meet January 15 application deadlines.

That’s a very stressful problem, and I’m sorry to hear it. I agree with the first comment–try to find one where you’ll be going.

I am going to my vacation house in the Bahamas. There is literally nothing out there. However I did contact someone from a flex testing facility and may be able to take the test tuesday.

Problem solved! Remember, the answer is almost never “E.”

^Disregard that; an answer can most definitely be “E.” ;)

Reference to 80s B-movie “Making the Grade” with Judd Nelson about boarding school. Probably belongs in the Parents forum.

Ah, well, that reference flew over my head, haha.

As we geared up for middle school, my fifth grade teacher was telling us about letter grades. “You can get an A, B, C, D, E, or F,” she told us.
