Anyone know if the scores for January 5th SSAT would get to the school before their January 15th deadline? Im thinking about taking the January 5th SSAT as my back up ssat in case my december one doesn't turn out well and i wasnt sure if the schools im applying to could get my SSAT score before the 15th????

Yes, they will receive the scores by Jan 15th.

The score comes out in 10 days after the test, and it takes uncertain number of days for schools to get SSAT official report. So practically you are likely to miss the deadline. But you can do either 1. let schools know that you are taking the Jan SSAT and they will get the report and ask if it is OK; or 2. pay $20 to get SSAT score emailed to you and you forward the score to school right away, to beat the Jan 15th deadline and also tell them the official report is coming soon.

Nope. As long as you take the SSAT before Jan 15th, it does NOT matter when the schools are going to receive your scores. The schools understand this particular circumstance is out of your control and you will NOT get penalized for it.

Op,
You should call the school’s admission office and ask.

Thank you guys so much for answering! I think I’m gonna take the advice above and call the admission offices

You should call EVERY school with Jan 15th deadline. Different school has different policies.
Please come back and tell us the answer. :)

Ok thx for the advice! I’m having my interview soon so I’ll just ask then and post it on here when I know!

I’m going to recommend you take the SSAT in November, this way you can choose your back-up SSAT in December or January. Just in case if the schools don’t accept a Jan 5th SSAT.

Thanks for the tip but in November, the nearest SSAT place is 60 miles away and only the December and January one are near me…
