I’ve been searching and find old info (thanks pandemic)!
Wondering about 2 things, ok maybe it is 3 when all is said and done:
-
Which schools are still test optional (and is it better to test or not to)?
-
Which schools super-score ?

Not sure if any superstore,
But only a few schools are requiring Ssat this year.
We are in the same position, to test or not to test. To submit or not to submit
Lawrenceville, Peddie, and George School all superscored when I applied in 2019. Lawrenceville is currently test required, though (I’m not sure about the others).
Exeter and Taft require as well
If 2 tests are taken and one is clearly higher than the other, do you even bother sending both results or just the better? Like is there an advantage to scoring better the second time and sending both to show “improvement” or don’t bother just send the best one?
Andover, Exeter, and Choate superscored when our son was applying in 2011.
You can reach out to the schools to determine their current policies.
Best to ask the schools you’re applying to and not us. That’s a great question for your interviews or for a follow up email.
We will if, when he takes it again, his scores vary with high/low scores, but just wondering if he just does better the second time if we bother sending the first at all.
If your second test is better than your first in pretty much every respect, no need to send the first at all.
