SSAT Princeton Review Practice Test

Hello. I just took the Princeton Review practice test (Upper Level) as I am planning to take the SSAT in November and possibly December. I will be applying as an incoming sophomore for the fall of 2019 to some top notch boarding schools such as Choate, Deerfield, Taft, and Peddie. My scores were:
Math: 41(raw)
Reading: 35(raw)
Verbal: 32 I know, its terrible :frowning:

I couldnā€™t find any conversion charts online or in my book, so I was wondering if I could get any input on what my approximate percentiles would be for each section + overall? Also, is the difficulty of the Princeton Review practice tests similar to the actually SSAT?
However, because I am an international applicant from Asia (not Japan lol) would the AO be more understanding of my not so great verbal section? Also, if my verbal score does not improve, I am planning to take the TOEFL to prove that I am actually competent in Englishā€¦
Thanks.

The conversion chart is there, in the chapter titled Scoring Your Practice SSAT. In the 2016 edition thatā€™s page 374. Your raw scores correspond to approximately 88 Q, 95 R, 70 V. Kids tend to score higher on practice tests than on the actual test, although there ar exceptions. Regardless of your reading and verbal scores, Iā€™d encourage you to take the TOEFL. Most school would do the same. Good luck!

Thanks! Do you personally think that my scores listed above would be considered ā€œsafeā€ for the range of schools Iā€™ll be applying for, or am I far off?

I wouldnā€™t consider any practice test score a safe score. You need to take the test in November and assess the situation with real scores in hand.

Some schools will require the TOEFL if English is not spoken at home or you havenā€™t attended a school where English is the primary language of instruction. Read the requirements carefully for each school.

Of course, Iā€™ve read all the requirements. Though English isnā€™t the language I speak at home, Iā€™ve lived in the US for 7 years, and go to an international school right now. The requirement states that if you attend a school that instructs in English, the TOEFL is completely optional. Iā€™ve never attended a school where the primary language instructed in is not English.
