hey guys. I wanted your opinion on the SSAT im about to take...
I am in 9th grade. I am applying to some really good BS this year and I have my SSAT in 3 days :/
Now, about the math and the reading I think I will get really good results. The thing that is bothering me is Verbal. Will I be able to get a very good overall(over 90) if the first ones are high 90's and the verbal is not
Now, I am international, and I got a great score in the TOEFL. Ok, maybe this sounds stupid.. but do you think that for international students for the English part, they see the TOEFL more than the Verbal or Reading part of the SSAT?

Yes. You can get overall 90s if two are high 90s and verbal is high 80.
For internationals, I was told that they look more at math and reading so if you do those well you should be fine.

Time to do last minute review of word roots and a few sets of practice problems.
Good luck!

Great score in TOEFL would be > 110.

I think instead of asking the minimum you need to score on verbal, you should especially study vocabulary and analogies to enhance your chances of getting a high score.

my toefl was more than 110. And i have studied many words. The sat and ssat hit list and the princeton review word smart… but still!! im freaking out!!
Anyways thank you!!

Not sure if you’ll be able to see it, but I posted a link to a recent thread about the verbals section of the SSAT. Myself and others gave some great advice. I think the AOs will cut you some slack in verbals if you are an international student but have a strong TOEFL score.

My thread got linked! I feel special haha. Anyways, the thread above really helped me with my vocab and I am so confident now, please read!
