SSAT scores today?

I’m hoping the Dec 8 scores will come out today. What time do they usually post them online?

Are they today? Lol. I would assume around 8 AM EST, I believe that’s when I got mine a few years ago.

I hope they’re today, I’ve been dying for them.

Late tonight at the earliest.

OMG. It’s been 10 whole days?? And the scores aren’t posted? To quote Joseph Conrad, “The horror! The horror!”

The scores will be available when the scores are available. To put things in perspective, I am told that in the olden days before the magma cooled and while dinosaurs roamed the earth, kids, who entered their SSAT answers on stone tablets with a hammer and chisel, then had to wait by a thing called a mailbox until a person dressed in blue walked up at an unspecified date and time with an envelope containing their decisions. Patience is a virtue.

When do the scores come out, in the morning? It’s been 10 days since I took my exam and the scores still aren’t out.

Our applications on SAO are at 100% for several schools, which means they’ve received the scores I think.

Had them sent directly to the schools without reviewing them? Well, they say fortune favors the bold!

@busymommyof4 Does it say on SSAT.org that it’s completed?

Everything says delivered for me!

We just logged in to the portal and the scores haven’t been posted.

@altras - We only had one date that worked for us to take it before the application deadline. Hopefully they did their best. Test Scores aren’t everything!

Scores are almost always released the second Wednesday following the test. I would think they will be in the portal very shortly if not already there.

I GOT A 2316 AND SCORED IN THE 98TH PERCENTILE!!! I’m so happy!!! 779 V, 782 Q, 755 R!!

@CavsFan2003 congrats!!

Now my question: kid raised her %grade by 6 but her math % went down by 4 (verbal increased a ton with practice and I think she skipped fewer math questions but got the same number wrong). Should I send both to show she is stronger in math than the high overall % shows? Just send the highest overall%?

Both scores are at or above the average for schools she is applying to. Lowest overall % seems (it’s hard to get this data) 5 points above two schools and at the average for the third. Higher overall % is 6 points above the average of that third school and 11 points above the two others.

Is that confusing enough guys??

Also, I must say kid taking this test twice really shows how much less meaningful it is than I originally assumed! One of her scores went up far, far above the range listed for her first score. Just shows that these tests really mean very little and are barely meaningful.

(and I don’t mean to take away from your accomplishment @CavsFan2003, that score is truly impressive)

@dogsmama1997 You’re not taking away from it at all! Thank you! SSAT scores definitely aren’t too important, I’m just proud cause I had dreams about doing poorly lol it just depends on that day, how you’re feeling. I don’t like 1 day tests for that reason.

@dogsmama1997 Some schools super score the SSAT. In that case I would recommend you send both.

Just got my S22’s scores for the December. He improved, going to 2151 (75th percentile) from 2094 (63rd). Math and (especially) verbal rose, while reading ticked down a little. We’re thinking we’ll call that good enough. The admissions person at a school he’s touring right now with my wife said they don’t put the most weight on SSAT scores, especially for people coming from outside the U.S. prep-courses pressure cooker. Might still be on the low side for his reach school, but there’s a reason those score thresholds are averages and not absolutes. Plus, he’s liked both of the public possibilities he’s toured, so we’re not desperate to get him into a private school. Feeling good about the situation overall.

@CavsFan2003 Oh, I get it. I think my kid has not slept well for two weeks waiting for these scores.

We received the scores this morning. Only received 73 percentile, so we will have to retake in Jan. Hopefully, 2nd time is the charm.
