What is the minimum you can get on the SSAT and still get excepted into schools like Groton, Middlesex, Taft, or Hotchkiss?
Thoughts welcome.
The Boarding School Review website has averages for most schools. But the SSAT is just one component of the application. So depending on what else an applicant brings to the table a school might offer admission to someone with a score that is on the lower end of their acceptance range. My guess, and this is just a guess, is that someone with a score somewhere 5-10 points below the average still has a shot at acceptance with an otherwise strong application which probably would include some sort of hook like URM, recruited athlete etc.
