Unconditional offer for MA (Honours) International Relations and Philosophy!
@dgaylord18 congrats! out of curiosity, when did you submit your application? I applied to International Relations also and am trying to figure out when I might hear back
@FranksTrack I submitted my app around the 15th of December. I think that most IR applicants will hear back around this time. Good luck!
I received an unconditional offer yesterday Master of Arts (Honours) French and International Relations!!!
My son applied for MA honors in History. His application went in Dec. 30, via the Common Application. His portal still says “checking applications”. Any other History applicants on here have an answer yet? And if so, when did you submit your application?
My son received an unconditional offer for MA honors in History yesterday, 13 February. So his decision took about 6 weeks.
My daughter received an unconditional offer for Art History today! She is thrilled!!!
Congrats. If any parents have questions on housing, move in, etc. feel free to ask.
My son received unconditional offer for Social Anthropology yesterday Feb.22!! Applied Dec. 20.
@ChristieHind congrats to your son! I also got into the social anthropology program back in December. How seriously is he considering St. Andrews??
Those of you who were just accepted, have you visited StA before? If not, are you planning on it before making your decision?
Received unconditional for philosophy! I applied December 20-ish. Stats:

@GMC2918 as of now I don’t have any plans to visit—since the expenses are a little high and I still have school—but I do think there are a lot of options other than going to Scotland. I don’t know if anyone else got this email, however there are international information days here:

My daughter got unconditional for Biology this week!
[[ For future reference for others: 33 ACT, NMF, GPA of 4.0UW / 5.0W, three 700+ Subject Tests, 8 APs with three 5s and one 4 so far), plus additional science and math classes through our state’s public STEM boarding school where she’s an online – not boarding – student ]]
St. Andrews seems cool and, obviously, global. It’s affordable compared to US privates – We’re in the “too rich for financial aid but too poor to pay full freight for both kids” category.
Trying to assess if it’s a reasonable fit for my kid. How wealthy is the culture and vibe at St. Andrews or is it more a stereotype?
My D is grounded, left leaning, serious student who doesn’t party or run for student government. She’s a social introvert but academically will totally engage and put herself out there. She’s globally aware, somewhat traveled and very interested in travel, and is pretty independent. She sees herself on PhD / professor / researcher track.
Would love to hear more from anyone who knows about the biology course in particular. Many thanks!
He is pretty stoked. We plan to visit in April!!
My Daughter just received acceptance to Batchelor of Science (honours) Biology!!! Very excited for her!!
Yay, always happy to see people pursuing the same course as me. The thing that attracted me to St. Andrews for the Bio degree was that there is flexibility in it. You can apply for a general Bio degree, or a more specialized one, such as molecular biology. But if you aren’t sure about what you want to specialize in, and you need more time, you can wait. I believe by your 3rd year you must specialize in some area of biology. You take more advanced and specific module classes, and in your 4th year you take on a individual research project. https://www.st-andrews.ac.uk/subjects/biology/biology-bsc/#11206
This shows you a bunch of stuff related to a biology degree. It talks about the reputation, the module system, etc. Hope it helps! And congrats to your daughter!
@SJ3175 Thank you! I will share this w my D. Very helpful. Are you from US?
