<p>@indiandreams is the essay something new, as it was not mentioned on the schedule. Is it like a full blown ACT/SAT essay?
Does dr. Thomas not converse with you then as the schedule says his interview is roughly 30 minutes?

<p>There are 2 interviews. One with a faculty member and another one with Dr. Thomas, who is the head of the program. The interview with Dr. Thomas lasts about 20 minutes and includes a short essay. I’ve had many interviews but never had to do an essay before. There are 70 people interviewing at SBU and only 25 will be chosen to go on to the GW interview.</p>
<p>What was the essay on? And do you write it while she is interviewing you? Does she ask any wierd questions? Like about religion or something?</p>
