St. Bonaventure/GW Program

@actsat2400. Yeah I had the morning slot.

can someone post stats for this program.Do you guys think is it an easier route to enter into BA/MD when compared to other bamd programs.

@stanford97 I do not think this is the hardest BA/MD program to get into at all, but I also think it is far from the easiest. When I went for my final interview at GW I was told that SBU originally had a couple hundred students apply to the program. Bonaventure then selected 75 to interview at their school. After that first round of interviews, Bonaventure selected 25 to pass on to GW. 23 of those students accepted that offer and chose to interview at GW. The goal is to admit anywhere from 10-15 students to the program at the end of it all. Hope that helped :)

Thanks a lot.Do you know which univ program is the easiest one to enter into these kind of BS/Md programs.

there is no easy program, it tends to be that if your a decently “qualified” applicant, you’ll get lots of interviews. If not, you wont. With these med programs, its either you get a ton of interviews or you dont get any. Unless your applying to the big ones like case and northwestern, where even if ur qualified you wont get an interview

@actsat2400 do you have any idea when we are supposed to get final notice about this program?

We are also looking for these programs next yr.

Any chance on this.very interested in these programs.

@stanford97 I think everything looks great so far. The GPA is pretty low, so you might want to explain that somewhere in your essays and work to raise it. However, there really isn’t a magic formula. Don’t stress out about the “perfect” application and checking off every box you can think of. I had a stellar transcript, but not superb scores and 0 research experience and I have done very well. What really matters is your passion. Being able to show that this is what you are meant to do is what is most important. A KILLER essay is my biggest piece of advice. Every single interviewer I have had for a BSMD interview has mentioned my essay and wanted to discuss it with me. Be very genuinely you, and write about what you want, not what you think you should write about. Mine were very unconventional and very honest. All that being said, I think it is also important to have activities that demonstrate your interest (medically related) and volunteering! Those things can never hurt! Feel free to message me if you would like more help, hope that contributed something :)

Thanks a lot.Sent pm
