St.Paul's freshman here to answer anything :)

Hey guys! So I haven't been here in a long time, and just wanted to answer any questions concerning St.Paul's school!

helloo?
no one has questions for me :)

hello!
I only made it to the Waitlist of St. Paul’s. When you applied, were you on the waitlist or accepted?
Also, if I remove my financial aid, do you think it will increase my chances of getting of the waitlist and being accepted?

Will my daughter have to listen to Avenged Sevenfold if she goes to SPS?

hey!
I was initially waitlisted so have hope!
and i think it would help if you removed your FA.

and haha no, but I always welcome people who want to listen to A7X or other great music whenever :)

What was the toughest thing to get used to as a new student at SPS?
(Did you come from a private middle school or a public one?)

Assuming you got into other schools, why did you choose SPS?

What’s your favorite thing about SPS so far?

What’s your least favorite thing about SPS so far?

Hi A7X,
What was the biggest surprise for you at SPS?

Is there a lot of the usual drama (she likes who, he likes who)?

Can you comment on what is meant when people say there is a lot of freedom at SPS?

Thanks & I hope you enjoy your first year!

oh really? Thank you so much A7X that makes me feel SOO much better you have no idea haha.
Well, If i do get in, I’ll be in your grade next year! (I’m applying as a sophomore!)
Thanks again!

hey! sorry, I also have another question.
I know every school has tuition (duh), but what is the annual cost for a student attending St. Paul’s? Like including health stuff, insurance (if any), books, tuition, etc. thanks!

Hey I got accepted
What’s the arts program especially the orchestra like at SPS?

hey guys!
sorry for late response
ok here we goo

Sevendad:

I’ve gone to public school my whole life. The biggest change was how the people act. There will be people at school who are snobby and think they’re better than you, but you just have to ignore them and find you core group of friends!

Assuming you got into other schools, why did you choose SPS?
I chose SPS because I loves the campus and the people did seem friendly. As I said earlier the people there can be snobby, but not all. Most people tend to be nice and the seniors are really nice.

What’s your favorite thing about SPS so far?
My favorite thing about SPS is my friends. I’m so glad I came to SPS because of the many opportunities that I have here. I have met so many great people here and don’t know what I would do without them. I also really love my advisor and I am so lucky to have her. I also really liked how the dorm is not split into grades. I have made really great friends who are not in my grade

What’s your least favorite thing about SPS so far?
As I said before some of the people there can be snobby and what not but you just have to get used to them. You will meet these types of people everywhere.

2kids:
What was the biggest surprise for you at SPS?
My biggest surprise arriving at SPS was the people (see above)

Is there a lot of the usual drama (she likes who, he likes who)?
Not really. I mean there is always bound to be drama at any school, but the drama at school is petty and pretty meaningless. I mean when you go to boarding school, what else do you have to do? haha some people make stupid stuff but you just have to ignore them or confront them.

Can you comment on what is meant when people say there is a lot of freedom at SPS?
I really like at SPS how you don’t have mandatory study hall. I know other schools have study hall and lights out and I’m glad that the faculty at SPS are able to trust you.

Helang425:Yeah that would great fi you get in! I hope you do!
and it depends on what you do at you time in SPS. I did rec skiing in the winter so my parents had to pay an additional $600 or so for bus and access to the ski lodge (pat’s peak), also books can be expensive, but you can rent your books and bring in your new books and get a rebate.

Glenabbey" Congratulations! what form will you be entering? And orchestra is really great! Im pretty sure if you’re in orchestra you have to take music comp. which meets about two times a week so you will be having like 2 free blocks if you don’t take 6 classes(which new 3rd formers don’t do)

anymore questions? :)

Does your hometown have a similar climate to Concord?

If not, what was this winter like with all the snow?

I live in North East, so it wasn’t that much of a change. But it was a change. There were day’s were I had to walk to class in -30 degree weather. It was pretty bad. But over time you do get used the weather, and when you come home the weather will seem so much warmer. Right before we left for spring break, there were days where it was around 50 degrees or high 40’s and you would see people walking around in shorts and t shirts. haha, anything higher than 20 is nice

Would love to know more about your POV on what makes some people snobby. Feel free to PM me if you want to keep it off the record…
