Stafford Loan question

<p>I filled out my FAFSA, and it said I was eligible for the Stafford loan. For the fall semester, I'm going to a community college that does not offer the Stafford loan. I'm transferring for the winter semester to a community college that offers the program I want to get my associate's degree in. This school *does offer the Stafford loan. Would I be able to get the Stafford loan at my new school as a transfer?</p>

<p>I’ve been checking with a bunch of CC’s in my state and the next state over, and a lot of them don’t offer federal loans. Some of them say they offer it on the school website, but when you contact them directly, they don’t offer it anymore. That was the case with my current school.</p>

<p>A number of CC’s do not offer federal loans. They are not required to do so. It is always good to check the policies for schools as you evaluate whether or not to enroll.</p>
