Alright, so I am in the process of choosing a few colleges that I want to pursue via collegeboard.
However, I am interested in becoming a stage manager, and there isn't a specific major listed for it on collegeboard. So I'm curious if anyone knows which major it would be classified as?
Here are the possible few;

Theater Design/Stagecraft
Theatre Arts Management
Directing/Theatrical Production
Drama/Theater Arts
Dramartic/theatre arts & stagecraft

Any help would be greatly appreciated, as well as any advice!

It will vary GREATLY depending upon the school… for example – where I currently teach the degree would be a Theatre and Dance degree with a concentration in Theatre and an option in Theatre Production/ Design.

MANY schools will offer wonderful training and opportunities for emerging stage managers. What particular schools currently pique your interest?

I would look at the schools and their majors. you will need to know a lot about theatre, the different areas, script interpreting, directing, etc. so you will need courses to help w/ these criterias.

I know that CCM offers a degree specifically in Stage Management. I worked with someone who graduated with that degree and loved it- an extremely helpful and intelligent SM.

A lot of schools also offer a BFA in Design and Tech, but that WILL include rendering and lighting/sound-type classes before you pick your speciality. If you are not interested in those subjects as well, that would be something to watch out for.
