i guess my title caught your attention : )
So i want to know my chances of getting into UC Santa Cruz, it is torture waiting until March, and my friends are not being supportive so here it goes, let me know what you think:
I have been running Cross Country for all four years of high school, as well as Distance in Track & Field. I have accomplished a lot through running such as running at valley my junior year, and becoming team captain my senior year. My hobbies are drawing, painting, listening to music, i just started learning guitar...again(:. In school i have maintained a 3.7 GPA hopefully my grades my senior year make that go up. i do a lot of clubs and stuff i've been in AVID club, CSF, KEY club, Interact club, Astronomy club (treasurer), Environmental club (president), there's probably others i'm forgetting but that's just a few. I have taken Honors and AP classes since Freshman year, but honestly have sucked on the AP tests, i passed the classes though! I got a 1520 on the SAT, yeah that sucks i know, retook it in hopes of improvement and i won't share that score with you it was obviously lower. i got a 19 on the ACT's twice... don't judge me i'm not good under pressure. I dunno what else to tell you. i Just really want to get into this school, but i don't really know what my chances are. they say it's easy to get into, but that doesn't help me much cause you never know...

i think that's it? so let me know what you think about this school and my chances of getting in!?

Is the 3.7 unweighed? If so, UCSC is a match despite your low SAT score.

I got into UCSC with a 3.5 and an ACT of 27 two years ago. I know many people with much lower stats that got in. I’d say you have a very good shot.

http://admissions.ucsc.edu/apply/freshman.html check out this site, it’s actually helpful (unlike most college websites).

Good luck!

UCSC (3.7 UW): Match
UCSC (3.7 UCGPA): High match
