Standalone degree in Cognitive Science

Hi everyone!

I was wondering if a standalone degree in Cognitive Science (along with computer science classes in JavaScript, etc.) would be marketable if I were to pursue something like User Experience design or technical writing. Based from what I've heard, it doesn't seem like a bachelor's degree in Cognitive Science is enough, and that one would be better off with a major in computer science.

However, the main reason why I want to focus on Cognitive Science instead of just Computer Science is that I have always been interested in studying how people learn and think. Plus, the major is more interdisciplinary (which may or may not be a good thing).

What do you guys think? Does anyone here have any experience in both or either major?
