<p>That’s what I was looking for as well but apparently the vast majority of schools offer a master en route to a Phd.
All the top econ grad programs seem to be like this. </p>
<p>Why would you want a terminal masters in economics, rather than apply to PhD programs and then claim a masters en-route, if you attend one?</p>
<p>By standalone i mean that i will be offered a masters degree right after my bachelors instead of awarding one while pursuing my phd</p>
<p>But what if i do nit want to go all the way with the phd ? Will i be allowed to quit midway?</p>
