Stanford 2008 Transfer

Um what is this exactly? Because I tried that link, provided my information and now it’s asking me to create my SUNet ID. Choose a username and password, be careful that this will be your permanent identification with Stanford blah blah blah.

How does this theory work? I’m not quite clear on it.

Did you provide your 8-digit Stanford number or did you click on the link to “provide other identification”? If the first, you may have gotten into Stanford. If the second, nothing- anyone can register for an SUNet ID if they provide name, SSN, etc.

mine didnt have an ID? That doesn’t make any sense though. Decisions couldn’t have been made by April 15th

Yeah, I really don’t get how some people got an 8-digit ID and others didn’t back in mid-April. Explainy?

How many people have that ID? and was it the same letter (the one posted by goldhamster) ?

i think the true indicator of admission is if you are “sponsored” by a faculty member.

but how do you find that out if there was no id

sucks for you :</p>

wow ivy transfer, after running into your posts on this board a few times, i have to say…youre pretty obnoxious

mine says sponsorship pending.

ivy-transfer simmer down.

Hey Trixee15 can I ask you something?

Was your notification letter the same as mine (look at the one posted by goldhamster) with the ID, or was it a complete different letter?

And do you have sponsorship?

um, i don’t really care about offending people on an online forum. yourself included. ..|..

You’re the guy that spits on the bus because you don’t know anyone else riding it, aren’t you?

No one’s asking to BFF people on facebook here, just a little less douchery considering we’re all in the same bag and have been helping each other (or at the very least interacting) for months through this process…which I realize becomes meaningless as soon as those envelopes are sent, but until then…c’mon.

No I didn’t get a stanford ID number in my e-mail. I don’t have a sponsorship…it just says pending sponsorship…as in waiting to be accepted.

Now I’m lost, don’t you need the ID to check that thing? Or where does it say ‘pending sponsorship’ ?

where is the IDDDDD?

Well after entering my SuNET ID and password the page pops up as “status: Pending”. Does this mean I’m wait listed? haha jk.

Wise words undisclosed.

So I guess you requested you SUNetID with your SSN, BD etc?

blah blah blah…care to spew out some more verbal vomit that carries no significant weight ivy-transfer?

“We’re over target right now, so we’re in good shape,” said Rick Shaw, the Stanford dean of admissions. “But I’m keeping a small group on the wait list, because I think there’ll be some impact of wait-list activity at other schools.”
