not very fast, but top 5 in recent CIF Southern Sectionals Prelims, moved to CIF Finals this Saturday.
Not actually recruited, but have conversed with Stanford Cross Country, Jason Dunn.

Hey everyone! It’s nice to see that this thread hasn’t died. :)

That being said, can you believe it’s officially LESS THAN ONE MONTH until we find out our acceptance/rejection.

Unless Stanford mails it before 3:00PM Dec. 15th like their website says? I know that a lot of other schools actually email decisions earlier than the posted date. Is this true in past years for Stanford?

I think the send-out date last year was either the 11th or 12th. So yes, they have sent it out early in the past… So exciting! Let’s hope they do it again… But a few weeks earlier this time, hehehe.

I don’t think I could handle that! I’ve already planned to skip school that day (totally legitly, being called out and everything. It’s a Tuesday, for those of us who haven’t already looked). I don’t want to have to skip multiple days of school! That could get suspicious.

^ Anonymous, how could you handle a whole day of waiting??? I have a final exam that day, so I’m done at twelve, but I know I’ll be dying those last three hours…

I can’t imagine spending the whole day fretting with nothing to distract me!

I’m going to make my parents read the email to me; I’ll just be in my room, with my head buried in my arms…

I couldn’t stand a whole day of waiting with nothing to do. This is why I would have to skip school so that I could sit in front of my computer. I also have internet on my phone, and my teachers are not that smart, so I could just read collegeconfidential posts all day to make me feel better/more scared.

im going to make my friend check it, then text me if i get rejected and call if accepted. very easy to take the **** then.
:
im doing a countdown, and my friend who’s also applied EA doesnt even know when theyre out. why do people apply if it is clearly not their first choice?!?
:@

I would hate to have somebody else read the decision to me. That is information I would like full control over, thank you very much. :P

@Starmie: I completely agree with you.

Stanford is my first choice but I’m applying RD (international student, not applying anywhere EA). I just think about how nervous I’ll be seeing all the people getting their decisions in December. When it comes to my own decision I’ll probably pee my pants!

I really say this from the heart because I know how badly you want it: GOOD LUCK GUYS!!! If things turn out well, we might cross paths in the not-so-distant future.

@IBScrewed, I don’t know why people apply who don’t care. It’s better for us though, if it shows in their essays. But I don’t imagine that there are a lot of people like your friend. I know 7 people applying REA, and we all chose Stanford as our #1.

@Starmie, I concur No one is reading the decision but me.

I’d just like to say…

IBscrewed, I LOVE your sn. I am totally with you, I have commentaries and presentations up to HERE. IB Physics is particularly killing me right now. =]

Any other IBers here?

IB represent! :D
