there used to be a site- ibscrewed.net like CC, the forum was its jewel. but it got shut down for some reason. :(

IBer here! HL Math, Physics and Economics. I’m literally dying with the workload right now, combined with UK and US applications…

Now to more important topics - how ‘nice’ is Stanford’s female student body?

Socially or physically? I’ve heard the “attractiveness” of the female population is “sub-par,” but all I know is conjecture from previous CC threads by Stanford students. I don’t know that it’s something that can be easily generalized, either. Everyone has different tastes and standards.

As a girl who prefers dudes, I can’t say I’m too concerned with it.

No idea whether they’re kind/compassionate/etc or not, though I’ve generally heard people say the student body as a whole is very laid-back and good-natured.

@Torcher, i wouldn’t worry about it.

A. like Prussia said, it kind of cant be generalized
B. there will be some hotties out of the 850 girls admitted in the class of 2014, not to mention all the other undergrads not in our year.

@Prussia, out of all the Stanford guys ive met (EPGY counselors mostly) i must say you are in luck…

Lol. Neither of the two kids from my school who go there is at all attractive. Oh well. Hopefully some other schools represent to make up for it :)

HAHAHA. IB does screw you. quite thoroughly i might add. im done with it though, took a gap year.
@Sci-Fry: you have the toughest HL combination in a typical IB diploma. you need all the luck :P

im so bummed. i hope stanford sees through their crap, the students that actually dont give a ****.

Yea, sci-fry WOW.

I have HL econ/lit/history

& I can’t imagine unattractive people from California. It’s just not possible in my brain. =]

Hahaha. I was born in California, and there are fewer unattractive people there. But like any other place, there are some. Not that attractiveness should matter if someone is smart enough to get into Stanford.

This begs the question: Where are all of you from? I’m from Missouri. I know, right? Boring.

I’m from North Texas, though I’d much rather be from North Dakota :)

Rome
Born and raised…

i’m from northern virginia. not to be confused with the rest of virginia

New Joisy, home of Bon Jovi

I’m from Northern California. Apparently that means I’m attractive. :)

I’m from Missouri too!
and I can’t wait to get the h3ll out!

I’m from STL, what about you?

I’m representing the Hoosier State (Indiana). Home to corn and the Indy 500

I’m surprised there aren’t more Californians. I was raised in CA, maybe I sort of count?

USNAgolden2014, I’m also from St. Louis. Maybe we know each other. Weird :)

Californian here :)

Southern CA or Northern? You’re so lucky either way.

There are over 300 posts in this forum already. And less than a month until decisions come out!

Bay Area. Represent.
