Hmm, my folks will probably take me out to dinner or something of that nature. They also said that if I do get in, they’d host a Disneyland trip for the family (I’m not too sure if that’s happening or not lol)…I know if I were to get into Stanford, they’d be celebrating it for the rest of their lives ahahah. XD
I’d also get some Stanford gear… I think I’d celebrate by having a date with my puppy and then start packing!
@heilm030 Packing a few months ahead of time? Talk about excitement! I don’t blame you ahah
On an unrelated topic, UCLA is said to release their transfer admissions decisions today at 5pm. Anyone other than myself apply?
I did! A little anxious for 5 today!
UCLA is where I want to go if/when I get rejected from Stanford. I will be at work at 5, I’m starting to get so nervous…
UCLA is today? Why is Berkeley waiting so long?
Got accepted into UCLA! Berkeley is one week from today!
@FerPhys congrats, me too!
Congratulations, y’all.
Got into UCLA yesterday.
I was happy. But if I get into Stanford, I will weep with joy.
So proud of those who received their UCLA admission letters!
Keep in mind that even if you don’t get into Stanford, UCLA is still a great school!
Haha I wish these ivies + Stanford would release transfer decisions faster (like Berkeley/LA)
I don’t think I’d go to UCLA. They’re making me take out loans of about 9.5k a year! UCSD is giving me a full ride
Hey guys does anyone actually know what a Transfer acceptance letter looks like? I am guessing it is different from the regular one. Plus will the Subject Line for the email be different? When I got rejected as a senior in H.S the subject line was: Your Stanford Decision but I could see the "Please note this decision does not in anyway diminish your application " after it, so I knew I got rejected…
I’d assume the subject line would be similar, except they’d say something along the lines of “Congratulations! Your transfer has been approved” or “Thank you for applying” as the first line. Not quite sure though.
As far as I know, and this is from watching the reaction of someone who was admitted into Stanford as a transfer applicant (video on youtube), they send you an email that just says your application has been updated, and you have to log in to see what the decision was.
@FerPhys I spoke to someone from admissions and he said specifically that Stanford sends you an e-mail with your decision in order to avoid the drama that comes with logging into an account. They have been doing this for a while and they did this when I applied as a freshman.
@PrincessMorales Damn! That kinda sucks! Specially because you can read a bit of the email. You will pretty much know before you even open it! That’s harsh! I rather just log in and find out, and you know, prepare myself!
I was just rejected by Cornell. Hopefully, I could get it Berkeley this Friday. I just could not wait to know the decision from Stanford, even though most likely it would be a no
