Hi,

What experiences have people had at the Admit Weekends?

Besides being at Stanford, are there events that get students pumped up about the school (late night parties, midnight tours, games, quirky things, etc)?

Thanks

I’ve heard from the Admit Weekend Coordinators that it’s just about as fun as NSO, which in itself is an exciting experience to gain new friends and experience new things about college life.

The Admit Weekend Calendar displays many events for ProFos, some of which allow the ProFo to meet their Regional Admissions Officer for a picnic lunch, to meet Dean Shaw, to attend Cultural events set up by the cultural centers there (such as the Asian American Activities Center, the Native American Cultural Center, etc.), the BROC Party, the LGBT Student Panel & Open House, etc.

I believe the “Open House”-like sessions provide what you’re looking for. There is also a late-night event called the “Night Out on the Farm,” which seems to be a party to get to know the LGBT community and to get to know Stanford in general.

The ProFo’s Room Host probably has the ability to provide the ProFo with exciting things to do when the ProFo returns to his/her dorm, I would assume.

@thehaakun. thanks - i did see the agenda but was wondering what was behind the scenes, if anything. My DS just was at a school tour in which they were staying up until 3-4am, doing crazy things, etc. Now that wasn’t part of the agenda either, but it was well known that it would happen.
