I am an international student and I would really want to go to either Stanford or Caltech.
However, I definitely need a lot of financial aid to go there.
Does anyone know roughly how many international students get aid there each year, and roughly what is the amount of aid provided?
Thanks for all your help
Stanford and Caltech I believe have limited resources in terms of financial aid for international students.
If you are a qualified applicant these 6 six schools below offer need-blind financial aid which will meet your demonstrated need.
Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Amherst, Dartmouth, MIT.
You could still apply to Stanford or Caltech, but in the end you might not be able to afford it whereas those 6 schools above, if you get in, you won’t be constrained by your current financial circumstances.
Google “Common Data Set” for both schools. You can see how many international students get need based aid and the average amount. Neither school is need blind in admissions for international students, so your odds of acceptance go down if you need aid.
I wish someone would buy me a Ferrari for Christmas.
Dartmouth is no longer need blind for admissions for international students.
