-- okay just kidding, im actually a high school sophomore. but that's likely what my resume will look like. What should I do in addition to this to ensure a better chance when I'm an actual senior?
eg. more volunteer? focus on a certain research? more music?
-- what are my chances if i were to apply as is?

THANKS!

I don’t know why you’d bother posting what your stats “should” be when you’re a senior. All of this is just conjecture and on top of it it’s likely still a high rich, save your being a hugely underrepresented minority or some absolutely incredible musician/athlete that Stanford recruits.

Stanford is near impossible for most people to get into. Post back when you’re a junior and have your SAT/ACT scores and your SAT2 scores.

Well this is where I’m currently at.
GPA: 4.5
Rank: 1/350
SAT: 2000

taking: AP bio, AP spanish, AP comp sci, pre calc H (includes calc AB)

US Open Piano Competition 6 years, 3 first places; National Guild Pianist
100 Volunteer hours (senior center, Key Club, hospital)

Clubs
-Biology Club founder (intel, bioE, US bio olympiad, science fairs, competitions) - President
-Spanish Outreach Club founder (culture, volunteer, food, fun) - President
-Science Bowl
-Math Club
-Key Club
-Cross Country 4 years
-Track 4 years -Varsity Captain
will do summer internship for sure.

I’d just like a bit of guidance, although I know that this may seem too far fetched and early.

If you end up getting around a 2200, it may be a consideration (it’s still a bit of a reach considering that you haven’t done anything that makes you truly stand apart other than the piano competitions), but until then you should just wait. You’re doing fine for a sophomore in high school, but I think you should wait until you actually get into your junior year and can say definitively what your SAT is to ask for your chances. Good luck!

Stanford 'Chance Me’s are a joke and are unpredictable.

@AnnieBeats : which Chance Mes **aren’t a joke? **You’ve discovered a magical font?

You’re worrying too early for guidance that none of us will be able to give.
Work hard, don’t stress (too much), do things you’re passionate about.
