exstudent, if he gets into Stanford then that is leagues ahead of Vandy. But other than that is completely dependent on his personal situation and your families financial situation, it is hard to advise without a lot more info. :)

T MINUS 10 MINUTES

Man, I haven’t been rejected to any of the schools I’ve applied to yet, but stanford’s breaking that streak.

Oh wellz. I applied for the heck of it. Those essays. whooooooo

I’m eating loads of Taco Bell in honor of Stanford’s style of architecture

hahahaha etg i luv it. so guys. last words?

LOL i remember that jledoux! Who was it that posted that a few weeks ago?

Stanford, you see us as you want to see us. In the simplest terms, and the most convenient definitions. But what we found is that each one of us is a brain, and an athlete, and a basket case, a princess, and a criminal.

That is all.

I need to remind myself that if I don’t get in, I still have stellar options. I think I’m still just absorbed in “dream school” fantasies.

haha I have no idea, I just saw the comparison on a blog once. It crossed my mind again in all the waiting and I decided to invest in a quick pre-decision food run

Somehow I feel honored that they even took the time to read my application, no matter their decision b/c Stanford is and always will be my dream school :)

@aboveblues You still have stellar options!!!

I’m in the same situation as you lol.

@Castielyse

Love that movie!
Anthony Michael Hall in the 80’s… oh man.

Last year Stanford admitted a total of 2427, including early action. But their yield rate was higher than expected and they ended up with too many Frosh. They admitted 725 in the early action round this year, so if they took only 1500 more that would be only 2225 total. That would be a pretty big drop from last year, but is theoretically possible with Stanford’s rising yield rates. We’ll probably find out in a few minutes.
