***Stanford Class of 2019 Applicant Discussion***

Ellie Goulding’s ‘Anything Could Happen’ on repeat currently.

this week was simultaneously the slowest and fastest of my life. lets see how this school day goes…

Hey guys, just wanted to wish all other applicants good luck with today! Also, just a suggestion to others: video yourself while you open your decision. If you get in it will be an awesome thing to have recorded for later in life, and if you don’t, videos can easily be deleted. Again, good luck to all!

I just checked my application status hoping it would say if I had been accepted or rejected… I need something to distract me today.

The Final Stretch Guys and Gals. Less than twenty-four hours and admission decisions will be awaiting us :)

Just about 8 more hours

Good luck!

Oh my god!! Good Luck everyone!! Hard to believe that we have come so far from the first post. I’ll probably be dropping in all day just to keep the good vibes going to anyone who will listen

YOU ALL ARE SO DAMN AWESOME!! LIKE REALLY. I’m hoping for good news for all of you!

Now I know y’all are going to think that this is clique, but even if you get rejected, you all are amazing people and you will go where you were meant to go. So go throughout the day, stress and work yourself into a mess if you need to  , then, when the email comes at 3:00 (or whenever) take a deep breath before you open it and realize that an admission decision doesn’t define you. Only the best of the best apply to Stanford; you all wouldn’t have applied if you didn’t think of yourselves highly. Good Luck! Deuces :)>-

@emenya‌ You are my absolute favorite, thank you so much for all you do here to support us. I’ve been a nervous wreck all week and I think I’m finally reserved to accept the decision either way. I’m usually not the “everything happens for a reason” type, but I feel confident that if it’s a rejection, it might not have been the right fit anyway. Regardless, we all should be so proud of what it took to get to this point.

Good luck kiddos!!!

@tankfrank13‌

Yeah… I am going with “everything happens for a reason”. I feel like if I am really meant to get in, I will. I know I will be sad if I get a rejection, but it obviously wasn’t meant to be. So I think I will be okay either way.

Good luck to everyone today! We all deserve this! And hey, only about 0.2% of high school seniors apply to Stanford, we we should all be blessed to be in that selective group of applicants! We will all make a huge impact on the world no matter where we go. This college decision does not define us or our intelligence. We have put in years of hard work and effort, and we have done the best that we can. Really, that’s all we can as for. We should be proud of ourselves and of our accomplishments!

My brother always tells me to focus on what I can change. And if it so happens that we don’t get in, then dwell for a moment but get it all out. Then focus on the other apps, the decisions you can change. You will get into a great school! Stanford isn’t the only one. We will do amazing things no matter where we end up!

Just wondering, where is everyone else applying? Here is my list:

-University of Minnesota Honors program (already accepted, safety)
-UW-Madison
-UChicago
-Johns Hopkins
-Harvard
-Stanford (of course)

If I don’t get into Stanford, then my next top choice is Johns Hopkins. No matter where I get accepted, there is a good chance I will end up at UMN just because it will be the cheapest by far after merit scholarships (which is important since I plan on med/grad school) and I already have around 2 years worth of credits here.

Oh, and I forgot to add UVA to my list.
